Moonbeam

A winter's sunrise,
Cold, spectral, pink
Snow, the season's icing
Rounds off the edges
The light, so searing blue
Illuminates my soul

Moonbeam frozen
Trapped in fate's ice
Snow coated, ice rimmed
Inside: womblike
Warm, solitary
Safe for thought

A funny old life

  1. Winter is a harsh mistress,
    ravaged by deceit,
filled with the raven's wings of abandonment and lies.
    Spring, lovely light hearted spring,
comes warm, and lush, and overflowing,
    with contentment and love.
