I lie upon a grassy bank beneath an old spruce tree in dappled shade, slumbering wakefully in summers heat, dreaming like old dragons dream; long and slow and deep.
I have slain unworthy knights, rescued maidens, sometimes in distress, dismissed my demons one by one til all are gone; dealing, when i grew wise enough, with open hands, a listening heart.
That is all behind me now, the chaff of life winnowed away like a whittled branch till all thats left is heartwood ..... Love and living with my love, being with my freinds both old and new and sleep, with old, old dragon dreams.
A funny old life
